Bio

Meg Popick is the Assistant Director of the Office of International Advisement at the Juilliard School in New York City where she serves as a DSO and ARO. Prior to joining Juilliard in August of 2015, Meg was an International Student Advisor in the Office of International Education (OIE) at Georgia Institute of Technology, and also served as the Regulatory Ombudsperson for Student Issues for NAFSA's Region 7. Thinking she wanted to be a study abroad advisor, Meg began her career in International Education when she was hired as OIE's front desk staff in January of 2008. However, after a few months, Meg became more interested in international student and scholar services, and in October of 2008, she took the position of International Student Advising Assistant in Boston College's Office of International Student and Scholar Services (Chestnuthill, MA). After gaining three more years of experience and a master's degree, Meg returned to Georgia Tech in December 2011. She holds a master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Spanish from Fairfield University (Fairfield, CT). Meg has presented at both regional (VII, X, and XI) and national NAFSA conferences. She enjoys cooking, crosswords, puppies, the beach, and traveling.
