I joined Eastern Kentucky University in January of 2012. I work in the Education Abroad Office, advising students on study abroad opportunities available at EKU. I have a BA in General Studies with certificates in Women and Gender Studies and African & African American Studies, an MA in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education, and a Masters of Public Administration. I moved moved around growing up and lived in many states and countries, before settling down in Kentucky. Travelling extensively while growing up and experiencing life outside the United States has made me appreciate the importance of higher education and the need to promote an inclusive environment on campus. To that end, I volunteer as a Diversity Advocate on my campus. When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time with my husband, three kids, and our cat.
