Bio

Meg Sonstroem (she/her) is the Assistant Director of Education Abroad at Emory University’s College of Arts and Sciences, where she contributes to expanding global learning opportunities and supporting students throughout their international education journeys. 

She began her career in international education after studying abroad for a year at the University of Poitiers, later earning a B.A. in French from Southern Oregon University. She went on to participate in the TAPIF program and completed an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration with a specialization in the Internationalization of Higher Education. 

Before joining Emory, Meg held roles at Louisiana State University and served as an Exchange Advisor at Georgia Tech from 2017 to 2023, where she worked closely with global partners and supported students pursuing exchange programs. She currently also contributes to the NAFSA Trainer Corps Trainer Development Team, advancing training and professional development within the international education field.
